Photography is an immediate reaction, drawing is a meditation.

About

I am a self taught portrait artist, I've been drawing people ever since I can remember. I probably drew a big circle head with some lines for legs growing right out of it for my first portrait, that's where we all start! Well, I was fascinated, and so, I kept practicing and my ability grew. I can remember copying magazine photos with a number 2 pencil in high school trying to get it just right! Then, life happened and I tucked my dream of being an artist away for a few decades. I pursued a career as a nurse, and while I'm very proud of my accomplishments, it doesn't fulfill that need and burning desire I have to create something beautiful on a sheet of crisp white paper.

As a nurse, and an artist, I am an observer of life. All types of life. I have a need to capture it, be curious about it...meditate on it. I love the challenge of capturing a personality within a hyper-realistic drawing. Animal or human, there's a spark in each life that makes them...them. What is special about this subject? Is it the unique curve of their smile? The seriousness of their gaze? I love finding it out as I draw a picture of someone for someone who loves them.

I can put 2 (or more) photos together to create a portrait. I can give someone the gift of a treasured reminder of a loved one who has passed on. I can make a funky, colorful, unique portrait to display in an office or home that captures the upbeat vibe of your aesthetic. I want to share my gift!

It's important to know a few things:

   > The quality of detail in your photo will directly

effect the detail I am able to capture in the art.

   > I can't fit more than 2 subjects in an 8x10

piece of art and give you the quality of

detail I want to give you.

   > I am absolutely willing to work with you

   and will take payments.

   > My art is affordable comparatively(but no

art is cheap) and it takes a whole lot of

   time and effort to create!

Thanks for looking!!
